'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK Launches 'The Metalworker' Miniature Flying V Guitar
HALFORD guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak has collaborated with a California-based miniature guitar manufacturer Axe Heaven to bring a signature flying V miniature model — "The Metalworker Mini V."
Each mini stands approximately 11 inches high and comes complete with its own stand and presentation box. It is display-ready. Completely handcrafted from solid mahogany wood, each axe is hand made at the Axe Heaven facility in Indonesia.
Behind-the-scenes of "The Metalworker Miniature V" video can be viewed below.
"I'm excited to finally say — let's unleash the black beasts!" stated Mike.
"This has been a wonderful project for all of us involved, especially me. It's a bizarre, but nonetheless great feeling to take a pencil to paper and draw up a metal axe and have the thing show up at your office door step a couple months later.
"This mini has stayed very true to my original sketches and ideas, and although only about 11 inches high, it certainly has enough metal snarl to make even the most discerning metalhead proud. "
Axe Heaven's Jason Kline commented on the release: "The Metalworker Miniature Flying V by Metal Mike is the perfect start to bring in a metal edge to our Axe Heaven lineup.
"I knew from day one when Mike sent over his ideas of how a Metal Mike flying V should look like, that we were going to see something truly metal. The rest is history and as Mike always says, horns up!"
"The Metalworker Mini V" is available through http://www.metalmikearmorystore.com/, AxeHeaven.com and select retail locations across the globe.

McSwain Miniature Guitar Replicas have arrived!
Axe Heaven is proud to introduced the McSwain Guitars miniature replicas. These very unique replicas (Machine, Life, Flame, and Anarchy) are all handcrafted and officially licensed by McSwain Guitars (http://www.mcswainguitars.com/). Guitar Hero 5 was just released and features the McSwain Machine Guitar.
Here is a recent article about McSwain Guitars: "Guitars, guitars, guitars… they’re everywhere. The electric guitar has been around for something like 50 years and hasn’t changed much at all.
Tired of seeing the same old guitars, artist/luthier and musician Stephen McSwain decided to create a new breed he likes to call "functional art." Each instrument is hand made, one at a time, and has unique characteristics that make it a highly collectible guitar or piece of art, depending on how you look at it.
The first guitar started as a completely experimental piece. Stephen started carving faces into the wood & eventually ended up with the guitar that is now in the possession of Steve Vai. That was number 0001.
It all takes place in McSwain's laboratory (basically a converted garage) in the heart of Los Angeles. The wood is chosen for each custom made guitar to go under the knife, metal is polished, scorched, etched and riveted and the gauges are rescued from abandoned scrap heaps, all in the alchemy of building a better beast.
Individual clients can specify their dream design and McSwain Guitars will bring it to life. Take a trip through http://www.mcswainguitars.com/ and find out what Slash, Steve Vai, Tommy Lee, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, George Lynch, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Ben Moody, Elijah Blue of Deadsy, Vernon Reid, Jeff Cook of Alabama, Munky and Head of Korn, 12 Stones, producer Jay Baumgardner, Butch Walker, Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars Tak Matsumoto of B'z and many others have experienced."
